Rigid Bits on the Move

We’ve been busy! Conferences, races, office move, and more!

Successful NetVu Accelerate 2019

We’ve had a little time for things to settle down since our trip to Cincinnati, Ohio for NetVu’s Accelerate conference. This was our second year attending the event and this year was even better. Not only did we attend, but we also educated! Dustin Mooney presented Cybersecurity (Un)Awareness training where he talked about cybersecurity risks, interpersonal cybersecurity dynamics, and told stories about his experiences with digital forensics and social engineering.

Rigid Bits Joins the Agency Council for Technology as Advisors

In addition, we also attended the Agency Council for Technology (ACT) meeting before the conference where we were announced as new members to the organization. By the way, Rigid Bits is also a service provider listed in the ACT Cyber Guide which you can find here. If you are an independent insurance agency that needs to meet regulatory compliance coming from NAIC, state, and/or federal laws, reach out to see how we can help.

Congrats to the Conference Drawing Winners!

We had a great time interacting with attendees at the conference and we made some new friends and great connections. We had a lot of interesting questions and clearly, everyone had cybersecurity on their minds. This year, we traveled with a bottle of fine Colorado Whiskey from Spirit Hound distillers, located just down the street from our main office location. Congrats to Sharon Millikin at Frank Furman insurance who won the drawing for the Whiskey!

Finally, we also had participants register to win our newest service offering. We gave away 5 Risk/Gap analysis questionnaires designed to help companies understand their current security posture, risks, and any gaps they may have in their security programs. Congrats to the winners!

Rigid Bits runs the Boulder Boulder 10k

Ryan and Dustin stayed active with community events this weekend and competed in the BoulderBoulder 10k – “America’s Best 10k”. Here’s a picture of the crew after completing the race.

Upcoming Trip for Big I Texas Insurcon 2019

Rigid Bits will be in Dallas for the Big I Texas’s yearly Insurcon event. Once again, we’ll be educating attendee’s through our cybersecurity presentation. We’ll cover cybersecurity risks, risk based decision making, and we’ll provide a 30 day action plan for organizations to follow in an effort to reduce their overall cybersecurity risk exposures.
